Lex Academic SIFA/Argumenta Prize
We are pleased to announce that the Italian Society of Analytic Philosophy (SIFA), Lex Academic, and the journal Argumenta are jointly sponsoring an annual prize in philosophy of action and ethics in the analytic tradition.
The prize will be awarded to the best paper on any topic within the two areas above. Papers may be up to 7,000 words, including footnotes and references.
For the current year, the deadline for submitting papers will be October 30, 2022. An ad hoc committee—formed by experts in the fields involved—will evaluate the papers. Decisions will be made by December 19, 2022.
The winner will be awarded a 500-euro prize and will be published in the first available issue of Argumenta. The author(s) will also be invited to present their paper as keynote speaker(s) at the subsequent SIFA conference. There, they will also be awarded the official prize certificate. Runners-up will be free to re-submit their manuscript to Argumenta via the standard procedures and will undergo the standard peer-review process.
To qualify for the prize, please send an anonymised version of your paper to info at argumenta.org (specifying “Lex Academic Prize” in the subject of the email), with author(s)’ name and affiliation in the message text. Please do not submit more than one paper per author(s) as the first author(s).
NB the committee will make every effort to ensure equality and diversity in the attribution of the prize.
